A cute little machine of destruction built to fight through hordes of Rats and Rescue stray Cats amidst the chaos.
A world ruled by rats?
The world was once inhabited by billions of tall furless creatures, until they vanished. No one knows exactly how it happened, but they left a legacy of abandoned technology and an atmosphere full of radiation.
This radioactive atmosphere caused many other species to vanish as well, while others evolved extremely fast.
Cats became more humanoid, and, with superior intelligence, they took over most of the now ancient technology, learned from it and continued to improve upon it.
Meanwhile, rats built their own underworld civilization and realized the connection between radiation and their evolution, leading to an obsession for accelerating it even more through forced mutations.
The Rats obsession for growth eventually led them to what is now known as the Great Rodent Outburst!
The Feline Resistance

When the Great Rodent Outburst happened, the world was suddenly consumed by chaotic violence as countless rats emerged everywhere, destroying or taking over everything!
The cats living in the cities were caught by surprise, the rats were too many and no one was prepared for an attack of such scale. The situation was grim, panic everywhere and there was no chance of holding back.
A group of brave cats managed to fight through the chaos to create escape routes that ended up saving many lives. They ran to areas away from the main city, and the rats were not organized enough to notice. They survived!
This group of survivors quickly elected a leader, Millie, who was mainly responsible for organizing the escape, and they knew the rats would eventually find them. And they couldn’t keep running forever, so they set up a camp and started preparing for inevitable conflict. It was the start of the Feline Resistance!
The Resistance knew there were many stray cats who may have survived without joining their group and rescuing them could improve their chances of survival. On the other hand, they also knew that going out on rescue missions was risky and they were already low in number, losing a few more cats could mean extinction.
Fortunately for them, one of the key individuals among them was the genius robotics scientist Dr. Cattus. While everyone was standing around a table with grim expressions on their faces, drawing lines on top of maps and trying to come up with a miracle plan, Dr. Cattus drop a sheet of schematics on top of it, a robot he was working on before the outburst, with some new improvised drawings on top of it to add weapons and fighting capabilities to it.
“Let’s not risk anyone’s life, we quietly scavenge for materials and I’ll build this! The name is Catlite, and I’ll make him into a great machine of destruction that will save everyone!“
Game Features
Rescue Runs
- The game is based on runs. They start by leaving the Resistance Camp to go out in missions where Catlite travels through many different levels fighting enemies and collecting rewards that boost the Calite’s abilities. The levels and enemies are characteristic of each Zone. A typical run will last about 30 minutes and ends when either Catlite is destroyed or finds a stray cat to rescue.
Zones
- The runs progress through different Zones, first the Sewers, then the City and finally the Rat Labs. Each zone presents different challenges with their own sets of enemies and levels.
Enemies
- The filthy rats! You will find a variety of them everywhere you go. They come in many different shapes and each fight in their own way. In the Sewers you may face religious fanatics, acolytes to their radioactive god. In the Cities they may carry more advanced weapons, adapted to their mutated shapes but it is in their labs that you will face the true horrors, creatures mutated beyond recognition, masterpieces of their mad genetic scientists.
Bosses
- At the end of every Zone, there is a powerful Boss. They will do whatever it takes to prevent Catlite from progressing to the next area. Be ready for a hard fight! Learn their movements, their fighting styles and adapt to overcome them. Those are extremely tough fool-hardy rats that will never give up their turf and will keep coming back even after being defeated.
Weapons
- You start with one weapon and unlock more as you progress through the game.
- Choose which weapon you will bring to your next run before you leave the Camp.
- Weapons add variety to your fighting style and will synergize differently with your Upgrades, Perks and Boosts. Make your strategy and maximize your destructive potential.
Gadgets
- Gadgets are secondary weapons or utility items you can equip. They may allow you to lay mines, throw a grenade, activate a shield, boost your speed or even modify your dash ability.
- Some Gadgets can be picked in the Camp, in preparation for the next run, but many Gadgets can only be found as level rewards in your run.
Dynamic Difficulty
- The game difficulty will increase with each successful run. And on every run, each Zone is also more difficult than the previous. Choosing the best combination of Boosts, Upgrades and Perks is key to overcoming this increasing difficulty.
- As you progress through the game and unlock more powerful Weapons, Gadgets, Upgrades and Perks, the enemies will also learn new tricks, adding more dynamics to your runs.
Quests
- The Feline Resistance Leader will have many Quests for you, but other cats in the camp may ask for favors in the shape of Quests as well.
- Quests may modify some aspects of your runs and will usually add an extra challenge to it. Fulfilling Quests may unlock additional Upgrades, Perks, Weapons and pieces of Lore that let you learn more about the world, as well as progress through the main story or side-stories.
Boosts
- Boosts are rewards earned through a run, usually after defeating all the enemies in a room. When earned they come as a choice between 3 boost options to enhance one of Catlite’s abilities or his weapon. Since they come in random options to choose from, they combine both luck and strategy.
Upgrades & Perks
- As you progress through your runs, you collect resources that Dr. Cattus can use to make Upgrades to Catlite, making it permanently more powerful and allowing to progress further through the runs.
- Besides upgrades, you may also unlock powerful Perks, allowing Dr. Cattus to tune Catlite to have specific advantages on the run. Only a limited number of Perks may be used simultaneously and combining them can strategically improve your play style.
Store Level & Currencies
- Throughout the runs you will collect rat teeth, which can be used in Store Levels. The merchant will accept teeth like coins and exchange them for powerful boosts.
- On many levels you will have a chance to choose between going to the Store Level or pursuing a different reward.
- Rat teeth are worthless for the cats in the Resistance Camp, who find them repulsive. This means you don’t bring the teeth you find with you, so spend them all on the Store Levels during your run.
